Heart of Jesus Prayer Group |
|
We minister to the Heart of Jesus through praise, thanksgiving, and prayer, then listen to Him speak to our hearts through Holy Scripture. Our desire is to encourage women to use their giftedness to serve Christ and His church. Meetings begin with gathering songs, a surrender and commitment prayer, and thanksgiving and praise for blessings received. These are followed by praise songs, prayer for each other, quiet reflection, and prayers of petition. They conclude with scripture reflection, discussion, and a final blessing.

The purpose of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God and the holiness of its members, developed by prayer and active cooperation in Mary’s and the church’s work. Their spirituality is based on St. Louis-Marie de Montfort’s true devotion to Mary. The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual and is dedicated to bringing themselves and others closer to God through prayer and action. Legionnaires perform a variety of duties, such as visiting the sick and shut-ins, making condolence calls, teaching religious education, and helping lax Catholics return to their faith. All this is done with a spiritual orientation. Auxiliary members are the praying wing of the Legion of Mary. They recite the Legion prayer and Rosary daily. Active members meet weekly for 90 minutes on Friday mornings following the 8:30 a.m. Mass and all matters discussed are confidential.

Sentinels of the Dawn Prayer Group |
This prayer group teaches and provides an opportunity for the parish community to participate in the Divine Office which is prayed daily by priests, deacons, and many lay people. The Liturgy of the Hours joins Catholics around the world with those in our past and those in Heaven. It instructs new members on the prayers and works to develop a rich prayer community for St. Robert’s. Attendance is open to all.
