Other Formation
The Adult Education Committee provides adult parishioners with information about our Catholic faith and assists them in seeking a deeper and richer life in Christ. Committee members assist in promoting the annual Lenten Parish Mission and, from time to time, sponsor a special adult education event at St. Robert’s. They also encourage and recommend opportunities to parishioners for further study in the Catholic faith both within (such as Bible Study, parish library, and RCIA) and outside the parish. Informal meetings are held as needed to discuss current and potential adult education opportunities.

Revisiting Catholic Classics: The Catholic Church is blessed with an astonishing and extraordinary treasury of spiritual classics that have fed and nourished countless generations in their search for the Face of Christ. These classics were written by close "friends" of Our Lord and communicate to us the fruits of their life in Christ. This group meets monthly to seek an ever-deeper understanding of the mystery of Christ within us. We meet from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on a Monday evening and conclude with Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. Okay to join us at any time!
Meetings: 2012: January 16, February 13, March 12, April 16, May 14

She Shall Be Called Woman |
|
Designed a the companion program to That Man Is You!, She Shall Be Called Woman reveals the beauty and dignity of the true feminine genius. By focusing on the mystery of woman revealed in the life of Our Lady, She Shall Be Called Woman avoids the polemics of our day to reveal the mystery of woman as she exits in the mind of God.
The program is divided into two 9-week sessions that coordinate with the academic school year of children. The Fall session reveals the mystery of woman as the masterpiece of creation while the Spring session seeks to provide tools to women in their mission to form healthy, happy, holy families.
Cost of the program is $15 per semester.

A men’s faith-sharing group that meets weekly to reflect on scripture, That Man is You! considers our call to be spiritual leaders in our families. It tackles real issues facing men and helps us formulate a plan to overcome obstacles. Men gather at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings for donuts/bagels, coffee/juice, and a short, entertaining video followed by a presentation combining the best scientific research with that week’s liturgical teaching of the Church and wisdom of the saints. Breakout groups of 8-10 then discuss these presentations and the men are “on the road” by 7:30 a.m. Participants attend over a 13-week semester in the autumn and spring. There is no cost and men may join on a rolling basis.
Last year St. Robert's had over 60 men participate in the program who found it to be extremely rewarding! It doesn't matter if you came last year or not, if you are single, a husband, a father, or a grandfather, this program is for all men. Please consider joining us for year two of TMIY! The next session begins Wednesday, January 18. Register for this free program by going to the website: http://www.paradisusdei.org.
