Prayer Garden

Welcome to the Prayer Garden

Please enjoy the garden as a place for prayer, peace, and reflection.

New art work was installed in the Prayer Garden.  The new pieces bring color and add to the year round beauty and serenity of the garden, even when flowers are not in bloom, and they enhance the quiet, meditative nature of the garden.  Make a visit to see it and take a moment for prayer and reflection.

You can see more photos in the photo section.

Prayer Garden - News

Have you been to the prayer garden recently to see the new spiral art sculptures

The blue piece symbolizes CREATION: the beginning of the universe on one side and the formation of the earth on the back side.

The green piece represents LIFE: look for pieces of actual flora embedded in this piece.

The pink rose represents perfection and REDEMPTION, which is why it is nearest to the crucifix.

The design was loosely based on the Fibonacci mathematical concept of how the shape of spirals are the "Fingerprint of God" and prove God's existence. There is a fascinating short YouTube video that beautifully illustrates this principle. Click on the link below to see this short but fascinating video:

The flowers in the garden must be related to the "Energizer Bunny"....they just keep going and going and going. Many varieties are still in full bloom and some of the mums haven't even started to bloom yet! Parishioners are loving the new spiral art pieces; go visit the garden and check them out in person, or see pictures of them here on the webpage under the PHOTO section.

What a Creator we have! The shapes, sizes, colors and fragrances of all the flowers on the planet attest to God's glory. Don't you wonder how God folds all the tiny petals of a flower into that little bud? Click on the link below to watch a stunning 2 minute video that uses time lapse photography to show how a bud transforms into a flower:

Life of flowers

With freezing Fall temperatures at night, the waterfall and stream have been shut down for winter. It is more important than ever to stress the need to stay on the pathways and not allow children to climb on the rocks or walk on the waterfall; any shifting of the rocks can tear the liner causing a leak and substantial cost to repair. Thank you.

The gates are open 7:00 am - 7:00 pm during the winter months.  You need to enter before the gates lock, but you can remain in the garden as long as you wish thereafter. If the gates are locked when leaving, just push the green light on the black post to release the magnetic gate lock to exit.
