The Catholic Daughters 2012 National Education Contest is underway. Our regent, Jan Ohlinger, has sent contest information and entry forms to school principals. All students in grades 4-8 are eligible, Catholic or Non-Catholic. Students can choose from one of two themes, "Planting Seeds of Faith" and Inspiring Others to Grow". They can also choose their type of creativity; essay, poetry, art, computer art, music, or photography. Our Court deadline is February 17 and all entries must be postmarked by February 16. Rita Daeges is our local Court Education Chairperson so all entries must be sent to her. Please call her at 401-333-8566 for more information. |

In 2010, the Catholic Daughters at St. Robert’s decided to have a Soup Supper to raise money for the Catholic Daughters Scholarship Fund. Judy Erdei took the lead and with the help of many Catholic Daughter members, put together the First Soup Supper on Sunday, February 13th, 2011. We served more than 300 people and the fundraiser was a great success.
We invite all parishioners to join us this year on Sunday, January 29 from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at the Mainelli Center. Join us for the best comfort food of all, a delicious dinner of soup, salad, breadsticks, drink, and dessert. Come for great food and friendship. If you want to take dinner home, we will have take-out available. The price is just $6.00 and only $3.00 for children under 10. Choose from 5 homemade soups and a choice of macaroni and cheese for the children. Click here for more information: Soup Supper - 2012 |
