Ladies Guild
|
The Ladies Guild has been thriving at St. Robert’s since 1967. Its two purposes are to advance the spiritual welfare and foster friendship within the parish, and to assist the pastor in matters pertaining to the welfare of the parish. In fulfilling these purposes, the Ladies Guild provides valuable service to the parish and beyond as it provides a variety of ways for the women of our parish to be spiritually nourished. By organizing and sponsoring five Circles and 31 active committees, the Ladies Guild takes responsibility for ministries and activities in nearly every aspect of parish life. Most are listed separately in this Activity Catalog. The Ladies Guild year begins in May each year with an annual luncheon, though some Guild committees begin work in September. Member dues are $15 annually, of which a portion supports Archdiocese of Omaha seminarians (Penny & Prayer) and the world’s poor through mother-child clinics, village water systems, and training (Madonna Plan). Time commitment varies with the committee and is largely as much or as little as the individual allows. |
