A year-round family program for boys in first through fifth grade. The 10 purposes of Cub Scouts are character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun and adventure, and preparation for Boy Scouts. Parents of Cub Scouts assist with Pack and Den meetings and regular, annual events such as summer camp, hikes, popcorn sales and the Pinewood Derby. Time commitment varies widely depending on the role of the parent/volunteer and the number of events worked. Pack and Den meetings from September through May require about three hours monthly.
