Court Hosts Catholic Daughters Day

Sunday, October 18, was a very special day for our Court.  We invited all the Catholic Daughters in Omaha to St. Robert's to celebrate Catholic Daughters Day.  On that gorgeous Fall Sunday morning at the 11:00 Mass, our Knights of Columbus escorted the Court officers and new members down the aisle of the church.  Father Stillmunks, our Court Chaplain, gave an insightful homily about the history of Catholic Daughters and how Catholic Daughters are united in charity.  After Mass we all preceded to the Mainelli Center where our Court served lunch to about 140 people. During lunch, the State Regent inducted all the new members.  Our guest speaker was the Executive Director of the Heart Ministry Center, Jim Clements.  Our State Chaplain gave the ending prayer and each guest received a rosary as a remembrance.

Catholic Daughters Planning Many Activities

Catholic Daughters Plan Many Projects in 2015

The agenda for our January meeting included information on two fundraisers and some new projects.  The fundraisers will be the Soup Supper on March 1 and Trivia Night on March 21.  These are very important to our group as we raise funds for high school scholarships.  Regarding the projects, our focus will be on a big undertaking in October.  The Catholic Daughters of St. Robert's will host all the Omaha Catholic Daughters at a special Mass and luncheon on Catholic Daughters of America Day.  We are excited to have this opportunity to welcome other Catholic Daughters.  There will be lots of planning for this event so our Regent, Mary Ann, will call all members to ask them to join a committee.  Our other projects include planning a supper at the Bethlehem House and helping at Via Christe.

Our meetings are always open to female parishioners who want to get involved or who would like to support us in our many endeavors.  It is a great way to meet other women at St. Roberts.
