Bella Festa became an instant tradition after the event was first held in 2005. The name ‘Bella Festa’ means ‘beautiful celebration’ in Italian, chosen to honor our Italian-born patron, St. Robert Bellarmine. Its original objectives remain that of celebrating our parish community and fundraising for the church and school.
Bella Festa is led by event chairs and several committees served by many volunteers who help with a variety of tasks including but not limited to underwriting, advertising, auction acquisitions, decorations, bank, bar, set-up and cleanup.
The evening begins with 5:30 p.m. Mass followed by a cocktail reception featuring silent and super silent auctions, dinner, oral auction and raffle. It is a fantastic evening enjoyed by fellow parishioners.
Proceeds raised each year are not limited to St. Roberts. Under the guidance of the Parish Pastoral Council, 10% of Bella Festa’s profit is given to help people in need. Past recipients include the Winnebago Tribe and Holy Name Church in Omaha.
Bella Festa is the primary fundraising event for St. Roberts. Hundreds of volunteers and attendees take part in this special event every year. We invite all of you to
share in this wonderful experience, and enjoy our beautiful celebration. |
