The Sports Commission provides opportunities for St. Robert’s children to participate in organized leagues in various sports and at levels from the recreational to the competitive. It organizes youth athletics for football, volleyball, basketball, track, and baseball. The Sports Commission recruits volunteer coaches, sets guidelines and team rosters, and helps to settle disputes. It also collects fees, coordinates uniforms, schedules practice sites, and conducts fundraising. Officers spend eight or more hours monthly, and some committees can be active up to 10 hours a week during the season for their particular sport. |
